Effective Date: July 20, 2026 | Last Updated: July 27, 2026
1. Scope of This Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how The Law Offices of Ann Marshall Robbeloth ("we," "us," or "the Firm") collects, uses, and discloses information through our website at robbelothlaw.com (the "Site").
This policy applies only to information collected through the Site. It does not govern our handling of client information, which is subject to the attorney-client privilege, the California Rules of Professional Conduct, applicable law, and the terms of any signed engagement agreement between you and the Firm.
2. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Using this Site, submitting a form, or sending us an email does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship with The Law Offices of Ann Marshall Robbeloth is formed only after we have performed a conflicts check, both parties have agreed in writing to the representation, and a signed engagement agreement is in place.
Please do not send us confidential or time-sensitive information through this Site or by unencrypted email until we have confirmed in writing that we represent you. Information you send before that point may not be treated as confidential or privileged, and we may already represent another party with adverse interests. We may decline to review unsolicited material and may retain or destroy it at our discretion.
Nothing on this Site is legal advice. Estate planning, trust administration, and probate outcomes depend on individual facts, and past results do not predict future outcomes.
3. Information We Collect
When you contact us through a web form, email link, telephone number listed on the Site, or scheduling tool, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, and any information you choose to include in your message โ which may include details about your family, assets, or legal situation.
Our web server and analytics tools may automatically log your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, referring URL, pages viewed, links clicked, and the date and time of your visit.
The Site and certain third-party services embedded in it may place cookies or similar identifiers on your device. These are used to operate the Site, remember preferences, and measure traffic. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Site function.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information through this Site, and we ask that you not submit them through web forms.
4. Third-Party Services
We use third-party providers to operate and maintain the Site. These providers may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
The Site may also link to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of any site we do not operate.
5. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
respond to inquiries and evaluate whether we can assist you
perform conflicts checks

operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site

6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We disclose information only as follows:
to service providers who perform functions on our behalf and are obligated to protect it
7. Data Retention
We retain information collected through the Site only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law, our professional obligations, and our file retention policy. Server logs and analytics data are typically retained for a shorter period than client and prospective-client records.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. No website or method of electronic transmission is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email sent over the internet is not encrypted in transit unless specific measures are used. Please contact us by telephone at (408) 371-5206 to arrange a secure method for sending sensitive documents.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Site, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.
10. California Privacy Rights
California Civil Code ยง 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. We do not make such disclosures.
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" signals. There is no industry standard for responding to them, and the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
California residents may have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction of that information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. To submit a request, contact us using the information in Section 12. We will verify your identity before responding. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Material changes will be identified as such. Your continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
